More Medical Hardware Removed

Wyatt has had a really good day couple of days. Besides being extubed on Thursday, he got the arterial line removed from his left arm and he was also removed from the heater. Meaning, he was allowed to try to regulate his own body temperature, without additional heat, for the first time ever. He did great. He has on some PJ’s and a blanket, but other than that, regulates his body temperature on his own. It was great to finally get to hold him!! He also got the IV removed from his left leg, so the only remaining IV, is the one that is surgically sewn into his chest. He seems to be doing better each day. He is definitely looking for food, now, and rightly-so, since he hasn't had anything in his stomach for 8 days now! The doctor says that if everything keeps looking good, he may get to try a little milk (very little) on Monday, so see how his stomach and intestine tolerate it. Thanks to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers. They seem to be helping!

Brody is still having a blast at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He hardly has any time to talk to us on the phone, because he's way too busy with G-ma and G-pa.
