Happy Baby - Home from Hospital

This video was taken one day after Wyatt got out of the hospital. He got out on Thursday afternoon (4/15/10). He just seems soooooo happy to be home - and we're glad to have him home. He is now eating normally, his diaper rash (which is to be expected for babies with ileostomy reversal sugeries, because their butts are not accustomed to poopie on their skin) seems to be getting better, and he is full of laughter and energy. His biggest problem right now is his two front teeth that are trying hard to pop through (as you can see from the excessive "hand-eating" at the end of the second video). That video just makes me laugh, because it seems like there is a big wind-up for something exciting, but it's just excitement for "hand-eating".

Glad to see how happy he is to be home! I was waiting for him to make a big announcement on the second video....he was so excited (to eat his hand).

Just want you all to know we 'celebrate' each little step on Wyatt's big journey! Sam has taught us that. Wy is so cute and growing so fast. Know we are with you in thoughts and prayers with all your struggles and triumphs. And understand the putting away of ostomy supplies - Seeing Sam without his feeding tube seems strange...almost scary. And Big Brother Brody continues to amaze with the bike riding now!! Stud-muffin! You are an amazing family and an inspiration!

What a cutie! I have enjoyed following your blog to see how your boys are growing. Hard to believe what a big boy Brody is and so glad to hear Wyatt is home and doing well. Take care
